Town Historian

To All Town of Tioga Residents:

As the historian for the town, I appeal to all residents, as I would like to form an historical society to help preserve the history of this beautiful town.

I am currently working on preserving the recipes and stories from past Pumpkin Press papers and want to make a booklet. Once printed, we could sell copies and maybe use them as a fundraiser to continue having the pumpkin festival.

At this point, I am encouraging anyone interested in sharing any stories or history of Tioga to type them and e-mail them to me at oakstout@twcny.rr.com, or drop them off at the Tioga Town Hall to the Town Clerk. I hope to add these to the booklet along with the recipes and other items from the papers.

Be sure to e-mail me or leave a note with the Town Clerk if you are interested in joining a historical society and even helping with a possible future pumpkin festival.
