A message from the town historian:

Hello residents of Town of Tioga:

As your newly appointed town historian I would like to address what I would like to pursue for Town of Tioga.

Tioga has a long and rich history and is in need of residents to join together and possibly form a historical society.

As I have learned from many other town historians, not only does a historical society get more work done but they may qualify for funds like grants to help with projects and ideas they may come up with.

If we could get together some funds maybe we could have a museum like the supervisor and I talked about, draw in more revenue by attracting more visitors and more businesses.

The Town of Tioga is such a special place, we don’t want to see it become a ghost town.  We need to preserve its rich history and community pride.

Please send me an e-mail if you would be interested in joining.

                                           Take care,                                           Anne O. Stout
